One Minute Review: Captain America

The First Avenger is the final film before The Avengers in 2012. Is it worth seeing, or should you just wait until next year. Find out here.

I finished watching this film yesterday on my Kindle Fire. Got it as a rental through Amazon Instant Video. I found it to be surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I dare say I even actually liked it & might watch it again sometime.

I thought the acting pretty good in a lot of ways. Evans made for very likable Captain & someone you could relate to. Tucci was great as you mentioned. Weaving was deliciously evil. I liked Toby Jones as the Hydra scientist. Actually played the role a bit humorously.

Liked how they didn't use the female lead/love interest as merely a damsel in distress. Annoyed slightly by the typical mult-ethnic back cast that would never happen during that time in history. But then Captain America never happened in history either...so far as I know. :)

Usually I don't like heavily CGI'd films as they tend to overwhelm my senses & eyesight, but they must've hit a good balance with this movie 'cause it didn't bother me at all.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable film. I'll look forward to your review of The Avengers.
